ProKids has many ways you can help us achieve our vision of a safe, permanent, and nurturing home for every child. Volunteers are needed in several key areas, including:
Resource Team
Many times our children or families need items such as beds, bedding, dressers, strollers, or cribs. If you choose this team, we will add your name to an email distribution list. You will receive an email whenever a CASA volunteer’s child has a special need. If you have that item in your basement or attic, just respond and pickup will be arranged.

Events Team
Whether you want to help for just a few hours or for just one particular occasion, we have several events throughout the year where we need help. For example, we always need volunteers for our Friends of Children Breakfast in May, Run for Kids event in June, Recognition Dinner in September, Auction Gala in November, and Holiday Gifts Drive in December.

Office Support
Maybe you’re interested in helping with a major project or would like to work in our office a half day or full day each week or month. Either way, we need your expertise and talents to support the administrative work of our office.

Marketing and Recruitment Team
We need help spreading the word about ProKids and the children we serve. Members of the Marketing and Recruitment team can choose to help in a variety of ways. Current needs include media and public relations, diversity recruitment, and public speaking.

Project Embace
Project Embrace provides preteen and teenagers in foster care with handmade afghans and blankets. It is as simple as picking up a crochet hook, kitting needles, or sitting at your sewing machine. Handmade blankets provide young people with something they can touch and hold to remind them that someone cares. Your crochet, knitting, or quilting talents can provide a loving gesture to our pre-teens and teenagers in foster care.
